About the role Metro Fresh Norwood, a leading retailer in Norwood, is seeking a friendly and reliable Fruit and Vegetable Store Assistant to join our team. This is a casual position with the ability to work up to 38 hours for the right applicant. What you'll be doing Assisting customers with their fruit and vegetable purchases, providing exceptional customer service Stocking and maintaining the fresh produce displays to ensure an appealing and well-organised shopping experience Ensuring all produce is properly cared for, rotated and priced correctly Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the store's fruit and vegetable department Answering customer queries and providing recommendations on seasonal produce and recipes Helping with other store duties as required, such as cashier work and general store maintenance What we're looking for Previous experience in a fruit and vegetable store or supermarket Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and helpful attitude Good attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately A genuine interest in fresh produce and a willingness to learn about different fruits and vegetables Ability to work in a team and use initiative and be able to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings and must be available weekends What we offer At Metro Fresh Norwood we are committed to providing a supportive and positive work environment for our team.
