Classification Level: Level 3 (Casual) of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream B) Award – State 2017 - Section 5. Wage: Hourly Rate of $40.24 12% Superannuation and relevant approved allowances. Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly. Hours of work: Dependent on work availability. Collaborate in a team environment by exchanging information, gathering ideas, and cooperating with internal and external stakeholders to contribute positively to successful service delivery. Maintain the swimming pool complex to a high standard by performing maintenance tasks. Ensure the safety and well-being of patrons by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain order and control of pool users, emphasising safety and proper use of facilities. Administer first aid and resuscitation as needed. Ensure the safe and efficient operations of the facility. Keep qualifications current and complete required documentation. Successful Applicant Requirements Minimum twelve (12) months experience in operation of public swimming pools working as a Pool Attendant / Lifeguard, or in the aquatic industry. Current Queensland class 'C' Driver Licence. Current First Aid Certificate, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Accreditation (HLTAID001, HLTAID002, HLTAID003). Proven ability to work independently under limited supervision while exercising initiative, judgement, and enthusiasm, as well as contributing positively to team operations. Demonstrated experience in a forward-facing customer centric environment. Knowledge of pool testing and correctional procedures, including safe handling and storage of chemicals. Previous experience with routine plant room maintenance is desirable.
