Position : Business Administration Support Officer Start : ASAP Likely Duration : Up to 3-month contract Salary : $41.13 (including casual loading) plus superannuation Location : Leichhardt Primary Purpose of the Position The primary purpose of this position is to provide high-quality customer service and administrative support to the Environmental Service Unit. The role supports the Director of Infrastructure, Public Trees Manager and team with administration, record keeping, reporting, and customer requests, while contributing to operational goals and continuous improvement of services. Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Collaborate with service unit staff to achieve targets, deadlines, and service standards. Develop, review, and improve community engagement programs, procedures, and tools. Design and deliver surveys, letters, postcards, and broad-scale education and engagement projects. Act as primary customer contact, ensuring timely responses, follow-ups, and resolution of requests. Maintain and manage data collection, performance reporting, and monitoring systems to support decision-making. Coordinate, compile, and produce accurate management reports, including KPIs, budgets, and corporate reporting requirements. Support staff with project implementation, training, inductions, and workplace safety initiatives. Administer office operations, including equipment, procurement, correspondence, records, and corporate systems. Provide secretariat support for meetings, committees, and stakeholder engagement activities. Conduct research, analyse trends, and provide insights to assist managers with planning, reporting, and informed decision-making. Expected working times are 36 hours per week Desirable Criteria Relevant tertiary qualifications Current NSW Class C Driver’s License Essential Criteria Experienced in business administration within technical service environments. Skilled in modern office management practices. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Committed to delivering excellent customer service. Proficient in ICT, including Word and Excel. Innovates to improve productivity and service delivery. Monitors and reports on workplace performance and stats. Self-manages high workloads, prioritises tasks, and works well in teams.
