The Role The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and leading procurement strategies to deliver cost-effective, sustainable, and high-quality sourcing outcomes across the organisation. This role ensures procurement practices align with business objectives, drive supplier performance, mitigate risks and achieve value-for-money outcomes while maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards. Role Responsibilities Negotiate high-value and complex contracts with suppliers. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders. Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs). Manage risk, compliance and ethical sourcing practices within the supply chain. Lead, coach and develop the procurement team to deliver high performance. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide strategic direction and support for major procurement projects. Requirements Tertiary level qualification in bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Procurement, Business or related field is essential with a preference for a postgraduate qualification (MBA master’s in supply chain or related field). Strong understanding of ESG sustainability, and ethical sourcing practices. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and large-scale procurement projects. Sound knowledge of procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Coupa) and category management tools. Eight plus years’ experience in procurement, with at least 3-5 years in a senior management role. Experience in industry-specific procurement, e.g. FMCG, manufacturing, logistics.
