Base pay range A$130,000.00/yr - A$180,000.00/yr About the Role Reporting to the Group Quality Manager, the Head of Quality will oversee all aspects of site quality assurance, leading the QA team and ensuring full compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. You’ll play a key role in managing audits, driving continuous improvement, and supporting product integrity from raw materials through to finished goods. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the site QA team to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and certification standards (HACCP, BRC, SQF, etc.) Maintain and improve the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) Manage internal and external audits and ensure audit readiness at all times Investigate non-conformances, oversee root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency Liaise with production, technical, and customer teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations About You Degree qualified in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline – essential Extensive QA leadership experience in a high-care manufacturing environment (e.g. chilled foods, dairy, fresh produce, ready meals) In-depth knowledge of quality systems, food safety legislation, and customer standards Demonstrated success managing audits and maintaining third-party certifications Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Hands-on, proactive mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally Why Join Us?
