Overview We’re hiring a Lead Software Engineer / CTO at Grant’d (Mixed salary equity | Flexible / Remote-first anywhere) We’re at a pivotal stage at Grant’d. Over the past year, we’ve gone from early prototypes to a live platform with real traction. Hundreds of users, a growing paying customer base, and a strong pipeline of product development ahead. Now, we’re looking for someone to take the lead on the tech side, someone who can guide strategy and vision, while also being comfortable on the tools as we scale. Ideally you have worked in a start-up environment before and can move fast while being measured and considered to ensure innovation is balanced with stability and sustainability. You care about building something that matters, and be excited about shaping how technology can remove barriers to funding. Responsibilities You’ll lead the technical direction of the platform and own the roadmap You’ll help shape the architecture as we scale and ship smarter features You’ll work closely with me (Janine) and our growing team to build the next evolution of Grant’d including deeper AI, a funder-facing portal, and smarter data infrastructure You\'ll be on the tools, working fast and with purpose to help us execute in line with the opportunity We’re looking for someone who’s curious, pragmatic, values clean builds, and isn’t afraid to push back or try something new. AI, data systems, and UX-minded dev experience would be a huge plus. Compensation & Structure This is a mixed salary equity role. We’re flexible on structure depending on fit.
