Wallaby 882 Role: Network Architect Day Rate: $1000 - $1200 Super Contract Length: Initial contract until 30 June 2026 Location: Sydney CBD/WFH Flex We are seeking an experienced Network Architect to provide technical leadership on a large-scale transformation program within a high-profile government agency. This is a long-term contract role offering the opportunity to influence critical infrastructure decisions and ensure the successful delivery of secure, modern networking solutions. Key Responsibilites Lead the design and development of enterprise-scale network architecture across LAN/WAN, data center, hybrid, and cloud environments . Create technical specifications, diagrams, and documentation to guide project delivery teams. Define and implement network segmentation, security zones, and access control frameworks to meet stringent cyber requirements. Evaluate vendor and supplier solutions to ensure compliance with government cybersecurity policies and industry best practice. Advise senior stakeholders on network strategy, technology adoption, and investment priorities. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless delivery. Technical Skills & Experience Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-scale networks. Strong background with cloud networking (Azure) and hybrid/multi-cloud connectivity. Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, HPe , and major network management platforms. Skilled in technical evaluation, solution assessment, and procurement support . Strong technical documentation and architectural writing skills. Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect (Expert) and/or TOGAF .
