The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing is seeking an experienced Innovation Enterprise Architect (EL2 equivalent) to provide strategic leadership across the Department’s innovation portfolio. The successful candidate will create and evolve architecture models that inform the design, development, and evolution of business processes and supporting ICT systems. This role provides an opportunity to drive the adoption of innovative practices and emerging technologies to improve service delivery outcomes and build capability across the Department and portfolio agencies. This position is based in ACT, NSW, or VIC and offers a hybrid working arrangement , with remote/flexible work to be discussed and formalised upon commencement. Key Skills and Experience Requirements Enterprise Architecture : Proven experience in creating and evolving architecture models to inform business processes and ICT systems. Innovation Leadership : Experience leading innovation portfolios, driving adoption of emerging technologies and innovative practices. Stakeholder Engagement : Ability to facilitate engagement across government, industry, and not-for-profit sectors to co-design, prototype, and pilot solutions. Strategic Advisory : Ability to provide high-level strategic advice to senior executive stakeholders on innovation opportunities, risks, and enablers. Capability Building : Proven ability to foster a culture of innovation and build capability across departments and agencies. Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to represent the Department’s innovation agenda in governance forums. Security Clearance : Must be able to obtain Baseline clearance . Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership of the Department’s innovation portfolio, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and government objectives. Integrate innovation methods, tools, and resources into departmental policy development processes. Drive the adoption of innovative practices and emerging technologies to improve service delivery outcomes . Facilitate stakeholder engagement across government, industry, and not-for-profit sectors to co-design, prototype, and pilot solutions . Represent the Department’s innovation agenda at portfolio, APS-wide, and cross-sector governance forums. Identify, assess, and scale effective innovation practices and outcomes . Build capability and foster a culture of innovation across the Department and portfolio agencies. Provide strategic advice on innovation opportunities, risks, and enablers to senior executive stakeholders. Undertake other duties as required and advised by the Assistant Secretary - Digital Strategy, Architecture and Innovation.
