We’re a well-established, 58-place, community-minded service located in Dulwich Hill / Hurlstone Park and we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Centre Director/Centre Manager to lead our team, nurture our culture and champion high-quality early learning experiences for children and families. Why This Role is Special As the centre director, you will guide the daily operations of the centre while creating a culture of care, collaboration and excellence. Your leadership will set the tone for educators, families and children ensuring every interaction reflects kindness first, closely followed by commitment to quality and heart driven early learning. In this role, you’ll have the autonomy to shape the direction of the centre with the support of an experienced team. Our Centre Director/Centre Manager will become the heart of our family-owned service in Dulwich Hill. What You’ll Bring: A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education Previous experience in a Centre Director or Assistant Director role A calm, confident leadership style with strong communication and organisational skills A deep understanding of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and current best practices The ability to inspire, mentor and lead a team toward shared goals A focus on building strong relationships with children, families, educators and the community A proactive mindset with a passion for driving occupancy and service reputation Key Responsibilities Include: Leadership and team development – be the heart of the team. Lead mentor and inspire educators to deliver exceptional care and education. Create a culture of belonging and collaboration that encourages professional growth. Operational management – oversee the day-to-day operations ensuring the centre runs smoothly and remains compliant with the national quality framework, national regulations and national quality standards. Family and community engagement – be a trusted connection for families. Communicate openly and warmly, conduct centre tours for prospective families, showcasing the vibrant learning environment and unique strengths of our service. Lead continuous improvement – discuss routines and how to make them more effective learning experiences. Maintain the centres self-assessment in a real meaningful way in order to constantly review the way we do things and improve on any gaps in our practices. Occupancy, growth and reputation management – build and maintain our centres strong reputation within the community. Drive enrolment through meaningful family engagement and showcase the centres unique offerings.
