The Opportunity We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA/QC Specialist to join our Sizers Division. In this role, you will work closely with the Procurement team to uphold and enforce quality assurance and control standards across all project stages—from supplier assessment through to material verification and documentation review. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-process and final inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Maintain full traceability and accurate documentation for all inspected items. Ensure adherence to relevant codes, regulations, and internal quality standards. Identify non-conformances and coordinate the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Perform supplier and vendor inspections to verify material quality and fabrication compliance. This may involve domestic and international travel. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, internal audits, and post-project review processes. About You The successful candidate will ideally possess, or have the capability to quickly develop, the following: Proven experience in a QA/QC role within heavy industry, mining, fabrication, or mechanical engineering environments. Previous experience with any physical inspection of machined components. Previous experience with measuring instruments. Solid understanding of relevant quality standards, inspection methods, and applicable codes (e.g., ISO, AS/NZS, ASME). Ability to interpret technical drawings, QA systems, and contract documentation. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of the local industry and supplier base is advantageous. Clear, concise, and professional communication skills—both written and verbal. Qualifications Relevant trade or engineering qualifications.
