The position is responsible for working in conjunction with multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of appropriate Podiatry services to clients living in the community, including chronic disease self-management and rehabilitation. About The Role Some of your responsibilities will be: Provide high quality podiatric assessment and intervention for clients within the context of Primary Health Care in a professional, confidential and culturally safe manner, in keeping with accepted best practice standardsEnsure integrated service delivery and follow up, coordinating and communicating as required with other relevant internal, visiting, and external providersAs a member of a multidisciplinary team the position will undertake assessments of clients, determine individual capabilities and apply professional expertise to enhance independence and quality of lifeAccountable for regular site audits and safety inspections to ensure facility compliance with WHS standards and building codes.Lead the development, review, and implementation of WHS policies, procedures, systems, and frameworks across the organisation.Ensure policies and procedures reflect best practice and are inclusive of staff, volunteers, clients, and contractors.Ensure infection control guidelines are followedDeliver health promotion and educations sessions regarding chronic disease self-management to clients, including information on foot care and footwear and in-service education in areas relevant to podiatry service provision as requiredMaintain accurate client records, including the collection and collation of statistical information in order to forecast demand for services and allocation of budgets About You To be a successful candidate you will have: Ability to undertake the duties of the role in accordance with CatholicCare’s Mission, Vision and ValuesQualifications in Podiatry and registered with AHPRADemonstrated capacity to work effectively with First Nations and CALD colleagues and clientsCurrent NSW driver licence and use of registered motor vehicle.National Criminal Record History Check Desirable Experience in the assessment, and planning individual restorative or maintenance exercise programs for older personsExperience in falls prevention educationExperience in oedema managementClear understanding of Aged Care funding models If you would like to find out more about the role, click apply to view the Position Description on our career website.
