Description THE ROLE: The HR Business Partner role is a true generalist and hands-on role that is responsible for providing high quality, responsive and timely HR advice, support and service to management and staff across a broad range of services including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, and onboarding, learning and development, performance management, employee & industrial relations, and WorkCover/RTW activities. THE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: The HR Business Partner will be responsible for: Handling day to day enquiries from employees and managers on HR related issues, policies, and procedures. Provide advice/support to managers and staff in relation to performance management, counselling, discipline, and the grievance & dispute resolution processes. Coordinate the recruitment, selection and onboarding process and activities across the business. Maintain optimal function of the HRIS modules in ELMO, including customisation, development, and maintenance to our systems & modules. Provide technical support, troubleshooting and guidance to HRIS users. Coordinating internal Training courses to ensure legislative compliance with all annual and bi-annual training requirements such as bullying & harassment, manual handling, OH&S Awareness etc. Source & arrange delivery of targeted and approved external training to ensure Managers and employees are developed & succession plan goals are achieved. Partner with HR Manager and CFO in Enterprise Agreement Negotiations. Partner with Managers on providing advice on all employment relation matters and activities. Ensure all documentation is legally compliant and best practice. Maintain Employment agreements/contracts and Role Statements for all staff. Interpret award entitlements terms and conditions in changing workplace relations environments. Provide general administration assistance to the HR Manager as required to assist in the achievement of business objectives. Assist the HR Manager in developing, reviewing, maintaining, and communicating HR policies and procedures. Assist in the management and prevention of industrial claims & disputes. Keep abreast of current and emerging human resource and employee relations issues. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Tertiary Qualifications in HR and/or extensive experience in Human Resources in a similar position. Experience within a HR generalist role. Previous experience with HRIS – ELMO HRIS Platform desirable Strong personal values corresponding with ADA Core Values (Excellence, Passion, Integrity, Collaboration) Good understanding of Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards. Good understanding of Australian IR and ER legislative requirements. General knowledge of Workers Compensation claim management and RTW processes. Experience in interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements. High Level IT competency including MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, policies and procedures and communicate these to all staff. Ability to conduct required tasks with a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity. Ability to communicate with staff at different levels of the organisation and with different areas of specialisation including the ability to earn trust and credibility. Well-developed organisational and time management skills and the ability to proactively identify and meet expectations in a timely manner.
