Job Description Expression of Interest – APS4 Grants Assessment Officers Location: Canberra, ACT Contract Duration: Approximately 12 months with a potential to extend Clearance: Baseline Clearance Required / Required to obtain or maintain a WWVP Card Pay Rate: $47 per hour plus 12% superannuation Overview: We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced and detail-oriented individuals for upcoming opportunities at the APS4 level, providing support with grant assessment services within the federal government. These roles will involve working within a structured assessment framework to review applications, ensure consistency with established guidelines, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality funding programs aimed at supporting service delivery outcomes. Key Responsibilities Assess and review grant applications in line with relevant program guidelines and assessment criteria Identify incomplete or non-compliant submissions and request additional information as required Prepare draft recommendations for consideration by internal decision-makers Maintain accurate records and data entry within grant management systems or portals Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to support decision-making processes Contribute to broader team priorities, including reporting, compliance, and quality assurance tasks as required Ideal Candidate Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured guidelines Proven ability to manage high volumes of work within strict timeframes Excellent written communication skills and sound judgement Prior experience in government grant assessment, funding programs, or related roles highly regarded Comfortable working with government systems, online portals, or database tools Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Additional Information Baseline security clearance is required Ability to obtain and maintain a Working with Vulnerable People Card Hybrid work arrangements may be considered depending on operational needs
