Our client is offering a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Farm Hand to join their 1,200-hectare mixed farming operation, which includes dryland cropping, sheep, and cattle. Your days will be full of variety, with tasks ranging from animal care and planting to harvesting, spraying, equipment operation, and general maintenance. This is a family-owned and operated property where you'll work directly with the owner. Tasks and Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of crop production, including planting, spraying, and harvesting Care for livestock, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health Operate, maintain, and repair farm machinery, equipment, and infrastructure Maintain cleanliness of animal pens, sheds, and work areas Support general farm operations such as transporting goods, loading supplies, and performing assigned tasks Qualifications and Experience: Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, including long days and occasional weekends MC or HC Truck Licence Chem Cert accreditation (preferred but not essential) Proven experience in animal welfare, particularly with cattle and sheep Skilled in operating a wide range of farm machinery Strong mechanical aptitude, with welding and fencing skills Positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team This is a rare opportunity just one hour from a major city—perfect for someone seeking a hands-on role with a great lifestyle to match.
