To continue driving these standards forward, they are now seeking a new Work Health and Safety Advisor to join their established team, to support one of their major sites. About the WHS Advisor Role This newly created role will be pivotal in ensuring the safe operation of a high-risk site. The successful candidate will work closely with site managers to drive engagement, proactively identify areas for improvement, and promote a strong safety culture. The position also involves collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to maintain compliance and ensure consistent safety standards. This role reports directly to the Health and Safety Manager. Duties:Support and implement WHSE procedures, policies and tools across siteRun site WHSE Committee meetings and coach committee members and managers as WHSE championsConduct incident investigations, safety inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring timely closeout of actionsAssist in the development and implementation of ANZ WHSE Management Systems to align with ISO standards 9001, 14001, and 45001Engage with regulators (e.g. SafeWork, EPA) where required, ensuring notices or actions are escalated and resolvedDesign and deliver training programs to frontline operators, team leaders, and managers, embedding safe practices into daily operationsSupport Return-to-Work activities and liaise with rehab providers to ensure effective injury management and case closurePartner with leadership to identify skill gaps and coordinate relevant training and upskilling initiatives Candidate Requirements:Previous experience in a WHSE role, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or related high-risk industriesKnowledge of WHS legislation and ability to implement practical safety solutionsCert IV in Work Health & Safety, or a relevant discipline (candidates without formal certification may be considered if they have relevant experience)Experience in Return-to-Work Coordination desirable.Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levelsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Culture The company has made Health & Safety a clear priority, with leadership and site teams aligned in driving standards forward.
