In this context, Lester Blades is delighted to invite applications for this position of Director of Corporate Services & Governance. The position is a member of the executive leadership team and reports to the CEO. It will have a broad remit; however, the key focus will be on: Company secretarial responsibilities, in particular advising the Board on matters related to governance and compliance. Contracts and procurement management. Fleet management. Property and assets, including tenancy management. Business support services, including insurance. Who are we seeking for this unique position? Well firstly, we need relevant experience, knowledge and skill in managing the above functions. Secondly, leadership (of course), but don’t just think the usual leadership attributes and qualities, our client is interested in thought leaders, people centred managers who bring great EQ, who genuinely love working with others, someone who brings an unwavering commitment to what we do (this work really matters), how we do it (think care and compassion), the way we work with our colleagues (we value and encourage),perhaps a unique way of looking at things (upside down if it suits you). Naturally you display the very finest interpersonal and communication skills, such that you energise and inspire those around you, (your own team and across the organisation). Importantly you understand the nuances of working with and advising a Board of Directors.
