Job Description Summary Responsible for administration, tracking and support activities. The IT Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting IT infrastructure at GE Aerospace Australia. This position is responsible for providing server monitoring and reporting on system KPI's, printer management across 6 sites, performing network maintenance across 5 sites, managing new and refresh personal device distribution, manage new mobility requests and mobility management and level 1 help desk support for digital workplace. Role Overview: Working on site (Brisbane facility) , 5 days a week - Generate Digital Technology Bowler data by monitoring system performance and usage and generate problem reports after identifying issues and areas for improvement. - Add, remove and manage approximately 30 printers across 6 sites. - Perform routine network maintenance tasks, including monitoring network performance, configuring network devices, and ensuring network security for 5 sites and 7 data circuits across Australia. - Assist in the implementation and maintenance of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. - Support data compliance requirements within Australia especially as defined by the Commonwealth of Australia in regard to military data. - Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives. - Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding and use of IT systems and tools. - Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, configurations, and procedures. This includes maintaining Standard Work Documents detailing daily, weekly, and monthly standard work. - Contribute to and maintain project management documentation for long term projects and day to day operations including action plans from problem solving reports. - Maintain the physical security system access cards for multiple sites across Australia. - Provide level 2 help desk support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving technical problems in a timely manner for all users across multiple sites within Australia. - Manage the setup, deployment, and maintenance of new and refresh equipment such as laptops and desktops and mobile devices for all GE Aerospace users across Australia. Required Qualifications *: - Bachelor's in related field or proven experience Preferred Qualifications: - Diploma or Certificate 4 in information technology, Computing, or a related field, or extensive and equivalent work experience. - Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably within a similar industry. - Strong knowledge of network administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues on Windows desktop and server, MacOS, Android, and iOS operating systems. - Experience with IT asset management and inventory control. - Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and practices. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Relevant certifications are a plus.
