We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Café or Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations, drive profitability, and deliver exceptional guest experiences. In this leadership role, you will manage all aspects - from menu planning and financial oversight to staff leadership and regulatory compliance - to ensure our venue excels in both service and quality. Key Responsibilities : Operational Management - Oversee day-to-day operations ensuring seamless coordination between front‑of‑house and kitchen teams. - Manage opening/closing procedures, staff rosters, shift scheduling, and ensure smooth service flow. Menu & Events Planning - Collaborate with chefs to develop menus that balance innovation, customer appeal, and profitability. - Plan and execute special functions, seasonal promotions, and private bookings. Procurement & Inventory - Source and purchase food, beverage, and supplies according to budget parameters. - Negotiate with vendors, monitor pricing and cost controls, and maintain accurate stock records. Financial Oversight - Develop and manage budgets, track revenue, control expenses, and analyse financial performance. - Prepare regular reports and implement strategies to optimize profitability. Guest Relations - Welcome guests, manage reservations, and periodically assist with service delivery. - Engage with customers to gauge satisfaction and promptly address feedback or issues. Compliance & Presentation - Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations. - Maintain a clean, functional, and visually inviting environment for guests. Team Leadership - Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise both front-of-house and kitchen team members. - Conduct performance reviews, foster professional development, and maintain high service standards. Marketing & Brand Building (where applicable) - Manage marketing initiatives, social media presence, customer loyalty programs, and community engagement. Qualifications & Skills Essential : Proven experience in café or restaurant management. Strong leadership, communication, and customer service abilities. Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting. Knowledge of food hygiene, health regulations, and workplace safety. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make effective decisions. Desirable : Formal qualification in hospitality or business management. Experience in menu development, special events, and promotional activities. Familiarity with POS systems, inventory management tools, or hospitality software. This is a full time position.
