We support parents, carers, families, children, people with disability, aged people, transport disadvantaged, and small regional communities. LiveBetter’s Child and Family Services team provide support to a diverse group of customers across the organisation, with a primary focus on providing children and their families’ opportunities to overcome obstacles to participate within their communities. The key projects undertaken by Child and Family Services include Preschools, Long Day Care Out of School Care and Early Intervention programs. About the Role LiveBetter Preschools have a reputation for empowering their communities and providing supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environments. We are seeking a Certificate III Educator to work on a part time (58 hours per fortnight) basis, providing high quality early childhood education and care to children attending our Preschool based in Parkes. Some core responsibilities of the role will include: • Developing strong relationships with children at the service. • Assisting in implementing the policies and associated procedures of the organisation. • Contributing toward continuous improvement in all areas of the service’s operations. • Attending Professional Development opportunities and Pre-School Meeting during Term Break or when advised by Management. You will also be required to meet the below criteria. • Certificate III or higher in Children’s Services. • Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and willingness to undertake travel in accordance with responsibilities of the role. • Current First Aid Certificate, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management training. • Current Statement of Attainment for the course ‘Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk’ CHCPRT001 • Sound verbal and written communication skills allowing you to build and maintain relationships with children, staff, families and the community. • Ability to work as part of a team. You will also be required to undertake and pass a national criminal history check, pre-employment health & wellness check (including drug & alcohol screening) and obtain a NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
