About the role : Reporting to the General Manager of Group Supply Chain, as our General Manager of Plant & Fleet , you will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient plant management across the entire value chain, including planning, sourcing, acquisition, operations, and disposal. You will be a strategic leader managing fleet planning, performing plant accounting, and overseeing plant coordination and outsourced plant administration. Success in this role requires a focus on commercial outcomes, delivering cost savings, and championing our values of safety, sustainability, and innovation. This is a full-time permanent role with a hybrid working arrangement, combining time in the office and work from home. The position is based at our North Sydney corporate head office, with other office locations considered for the right candidate. What you’ll be doing : Lead development of medium and long-term plant management strategies and drive their execution. Perform plant accounting, oversee maintenance strategies, and ensure best practices in preventative maintenance, procedures, and spare parts holdings. Identify, evaluate, and implement improvements, optimizations, and acquisition opportunities. Maintain the plant asset register and oversee plant coordination. Provide expert advice on policy and legislative changes affecting reporting requirements. Oversee outsourced plant administration. Contribute to enterprise-wide decision-making and actively shape initiatives around customer centricity, safety, sustainability, diversity, innovation, digital enablement, and business improvement activities. About you : Hold tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, or a related discipline. Be a commercially astute, data-driven decision-maker with a collaborative approach. Have demonstrated experience in an Asset Management leadership role. Exhibit safety and risk leadership through continuous improvement practices for plants. Experience in developing and operationalizing fleet management strategies to meet business needs. Have operated in complex, matrixed environments with the ability to create and deliver strategic business goals, driving change and adoption.
