Preventive Health SA – Population Health Salary: $127,859 – MAS3 – Full Time / Ongoing appointment Overview: The Director, Chronic Disease Prevention is responsible for the management of the Chronic Disease Prevention branch to meet the key objectives of the Population Health division, including supporting implementation of the National Preventive Health Strategy 2021–2030 within Cancer Screening, Tobacco & e-Cigarettes, Active Places and People and Food Environments. The position will lead the development and implementation of evidence-based practice, policies, strategies, and other initiatives to prevent and reduce chronic disease across the South Australian population including reporting on the South Australian Tobacco Control Strategy 2023-2027 and contributing to the National Obesity Strategy 2022-2032. The role is required to strategically engage with the whole of State Government, Commonwealth Government, Non-Government sector and Local Government to lead and support the development and delivery of universal, selected, and targeted prevention and population health partnerships, systems and programs, across the life course for improved chronic disease.
