About the opportunity As Head of Processing – Victoria, you will oversee all parcel and mail processing facilities in the state, focusing on performance, safety, and customer service. Reporting to the General Manager – Southern Operations, this leadership role collaborates with Transport and Linehaul teams to enhance customer experience and operational metrics, and is part of the Southern Region leadership team. You will manage operational excellence and lead strategic initiatives to transform our network, optimize performance, and foster a sustainable, innovative culture aligned with Australia Post’s strategic goals. What you’ll deliver with us You will be responsible for the performance of processing facilities across Victoria, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Your role involves managing daily operations and leading transformative projects to prepare our network for the future. Key responsibilities include: Leading operational performance across Victorian processing sites, ensuring safety, compliance, and service standards are met. Driving continuous improvement via Lean Six Sigma and data-driven strategies. Collaborating with transport and network teams to achieve strategic goals. Implementing major change initiatives, including automation and new site developments. Managing budgets with a focus on cost savings and efficiency. Developing a high-performing, safety-conscious, customer-focused team. About you You are an experienced operations leader with a proven track record in managing complex environments, leading transformational change, and building engaged teams. Your expertise spans logistics, safety, and customer service, with strong commercial acumen and industry knowledge. What you will bring: 10 years of operational leadership in large-scale environments. Experience leading complex change programs. Proven ability to develop customer-focused teams and foster cultural change. Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation skills, including IR experience. Deep knowledge of logistics, HR, IR, OH&S, and compliance. Understanding of parcel, mail, transport, and delivery operations. Data-driven decision-making skills and financial acumen.
