We are seeking a Part-Time Data Architect to design, oversee, and guide the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures for enterprise-grade digital transformation projects. This role will support active initiatives in data platforms, AI/ML, GenAI, and application modernization , ensuring data systems are optimized for analytics, governance, and AI-readiness. Key Responsibilities: Design robust, cloud-native data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses, real-time pipelines) aligned with client business needs. Provide architectural oversight on data projects, including modern data stack solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks). Collaborate with delivery teams to align architecture with ongoing AI/ML and GenAI initiatives. Define data modeling standards, governance policies, and data quality frameworks. Consult on selection and integration of data tools, APIs, storage solutions, and metadata management. Guide development teams on best practices for scalable ETL/ELT, data ingestion, and transformation using modern tools (e.g., AWS Glue, Kafka, DBT, Spark). Support pre-sales and proposal development for large-scale data transformation projects. Review and optimize existing data infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability. Collaborate with cloud architects, ML engineers, and project managers on integrated solution delivery. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline. 8 years of experience in data architecture, with hands-on experience in cloud-based data platforms (preferably AWS) . Expertise in data modeling, warehousing, and real-time/streaming architectures. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines or integrating with ML/GenAI models. Proficient with tools like Redshift, Snowflake, Glue, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, and SQL/NoSQL databases. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders. Preferred Skills: AWS Certifications: Data Analytics Specialty, Solutions Architect Associate/Pro. Familiarity with modern MLOps and GenAI frameworks. Prior experience with public sector or regulated industry clients. Experience in agile project environments and cross-functional collaboration.
