Responsibilities Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert in transmission , substation , primary design , and HV design projects. Provide mentorship and guidance to a diverse team of engineers, fostering professional growth and excellence. Oversee the design, analysis, and implementation of utility engineering projects, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and external contractors to successfully manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and progress check-ins to ensure milestones are met. Contribute to the development of innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective design solutions in the energy and utility space. Provide technical and strategic input during bidding phases and customer presentations to promote team capabilities. Demonstrate a commitment to an inclusive and supportive team culture by embracing diverse perspectives. Qualifications Mandatory Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline. Proven experience (10 years) in primary design , HV design , transmission , or substation projects in the utility industry. Demonstrated experience as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a diverse and collaborative environment. Strong understanding of electrical utility standards, codes, and best practices. Ability to analyze complex systems and deliver high-quality technical designs. Preferred Skills and Attributes: Master’s degree in a related engineering field is a plus. Advanced knowledge of design software tools such as AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, or ETAP. Proficiency with project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead diverse teams and engage stakeholders effectively.
