Their venues are known for their quality service, strong community focus, and innovative hospitality offerings Role Overview The Business Development Manager will be instrumental in accelerating sales and revenue growth for Harvey’s, TOS, and the catering division. The focus is on new business acquisition, maximising group and event bookings, and building profitable partnerships. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with venue managers and leadership within TMG to shape and deliver strategies that drive commercial results. Requirements Key Responsibilities Deliver measurable sales growth across designated venues and catering by identifying and securing new business opportunities. Develop and implement sales strategies to increase group bookings, private functions, and event sales. Build, manage, and report on a robust sales pipeline - ensuring conversion rates and revenue targets are consistently met. Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event agencies, university and community groups. Negotiate and close contracts for large bookings, events, and catering packages. Attend industry networking functions, expos, and client meetings to generate leads and build Harveys’, TOS, and catering’s profile. Collaborate with marketing and venue operations to deliver targeted campaigns and exceptional customer experiences. Monitor competitor and market activity, providing insights to influence business strategy. Prepare detailed sales activity reports and revenue forecasts for leadership. Uphold the values and reputation of TMG in all dealings. About You Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management in hospitality, events, or catering. Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and driving commercial growth. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills. Highly motivated and energetic with a “hunter” mindset for new business for multiple venues. Adept at building and leveraging professional relationships within Melbourne’s hospitality or events sectors. Well-organised, able to manage multiple leads and priorities over multiple venues.
