Introduction Our purpose is to enrich the lives of people living independently in their own homes through connection to services and community. About ECHO ECHO Community Services is a registered charity providing care to the elderly to help them live in their own home with dignity while still maintaining their independence. We provide in-home services 7 days per week for Home Care Package and 5 days per week for CHSP. Our goal is to provide services at the same time, on the same day and with the same team of Support Workers which means that you know the people who are coming and the time they will arrive. Having the same support workers providing services, in particular, medication prompts and personal care, maintains the person’s dignity and well-being. You know and can trust the people attending. There is continuity of care for people who receive our services. Description Our Domestic Assistants support clients to undertake domestic tasks in the home such as prescribed within the care/support plan enhancing and encouraging participation in their own care to maintain their independence, where possible. Responsibilities include: Making beds, ironing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming and mopping the floor. Some social support in the community. Follow a predetermined schedule, travelling from home to home, therefore having unrestricted access to a vehicle, and the ability to follow a digital schedule and care plan autonomously. Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm (school-friendly hours), minimum of 3 days per week. Skills And Experiences Skills & Experience Essential: 3-6 months Domestic/Industrial cleaning experience A valid drivers' license with unrestricted access to a registered vehicle which is appropriately insured and in good condition. Ability and willingness to work autonomously in the community, travelling from home to home, referring to a digital schedule and care plan, via a mobile app. Above average interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
