Description About the position Working within the Freight Forwarding team, we require a highly organised and proactive Operations Coordinator. In this pivotal role, you will provide support to our increasing operations and ensure the efficient and compliant movement of cargo across international and domestic borders. This position provides a unique hybrid option with the opportunity to work from home, or our offices in Townsville or Brisbane. Skills And Experiences Key Responsibilities Co-ordination of shipments with external stakeholders and production teams. Booking of containers with shipping lines. Issuing Forwarding Instructions to carriers. Issue Booking summary reports. Approval of creditor invoices. Issuing of invoices for freight and associated charges. Liaison with appointed ships agent and terminal. Lay time calculations. EDN applications. Co-ordination of rail and road delivery of acid cargoes. Monitoring of contracted stocking points pan-Australia. Co-ordination of dispatch locations and booking of deliveries. Co-ordination of customs and quarantine clearance. Clearance of shipping documents with carriers. Co-ordination of delivery. Issue delivery/shipping summary reports. Essential skills & Experience Current Drivers’ Licence. Some experience within the stevedoring or transport and logistics field is desirable. Ability to obtain a MSIC Card. Acquire and/or maintain knowledge of the following: Sound knowledge of international and domestic logistics. Strong understanding of Australian Customs and Quarantine procedures.
