About the role We are seeking a qualified Mechanic who is looking for work to join our Maintenance Team at our woodchip site in Eden, NSW. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and will undertaking a range of production related plant and equipment maintenance tasks for the Eden chip and log export terminal. You will be assisting with the maintenance and repair of a range of production equipment such as heavy and light mobile plant, processing equipment, material transfer equipment and general yard equipment. Key responsibilities include: Diesel mechanical & plant fabrication fitting and maintenance; Breakdown diagnostics and rectification; Working on trucks, trailers, loaders, dozers and a variety of auxiliary equipment. Ensure production assets are maintained and available in a safe and effective standard; Make recommendations for the replacement of equipment & machinery where required; Ensure work schedules and maintenance carried out is recorded accurately; To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have the following: Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade is essential. A proven track record of successful experience as a mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing setting is highly advantageous. Current and valid motor vehicle driver’s licence. Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills. A background of using the AMPRO system is highly advantageous.
