Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Identify and care for a wide variety of plant species, ensuring correct cultivation, pruning, watering, fertilising, and pest and disease control practices are applied. Conduct soil preparation, testing, and amendments to maintain optimum growing conditions, applying sustainable horticultural practices. Read and interpret landscape plans and specifications, and implement modifications where required to achieve design outcomes. Construct and maintain paths, retaining walls, fences, edging, and other hardscape features in line with project requirements. Prepare and maintain planting sites; plant and transplant trees, shrubs, flowers, and turf; and manage ongoing care of softscape areas. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools, including mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems, and related machinery. Plan, schedule, and coordinate landscaping activities and resources to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Follow workplace health and safety procedures and environmental regulations, ensuring safe use of tools, equipment, and materials. Communicate with clients and team members to confirm requirements, provide advice on plant selection and garden design, and ensure expectations are met. Qualifications and Skills: Certificate III or IV in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or equivalent experience. At least one year of proven experience as a Landscape Gardener. Proficiency in using landscaping tools, machinery, and irrigation systems. Strong knowledge of plant care, soil preparation, and sustainable horticultural practices. Ability to read and follow landscape plans and specifications. Reliable team player with good communication and client service skills. Commitment to workplace health, safety, and environmental standards. Current driver's licence desirable. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $76,000 - $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
