We’re looking for two talented planners to join a growing Biodiversity Planning team: Principal Planner – Biodiversity Senior Planner – Biodiversity If you have experience in environmental or strategic planning and a passion for protecting and enhancing biodiversity, this is your chance to work on projects that make a real difference. About the Roles These contract roles will see you contribute to important biodiversity and environmental planning projects that deliver sustainable outcomes for the region. As a Principal Planner , you’ll lead complex projects , provide high-level technical expertise, and influence key strategies and policies. As a Senior Planner , you’ll take ownership of moderate-to-complex projects and collaborate with a supportive team to deliver practical planning solutions. What You’ll Do Deliver biodiversity and environmental planning projects with measurable outcomes. Provide specialist technical advice in line with relevant planning frameworks and legislation. Support or lead the development and integration of strategies and policies . Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders . Participate in community consultations and forums . Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. What You’ll Bring ✔ Strong knowledge of biodiversity, environmental, or strategic planning (preferably in QLD). ✔ Experience in project delivery – moderate for the Senior role, complex for the Principal role. ✔ Excellent communication and engagement skills . ✔ Ability to problem-solve and manage competing priorities. Qualifications & Requirements Degree in Planning, Environmental Science, or a related discipline . Current C Class Driver’s Licence .
