About the Role Reporting directly to the Hollard Chief Risk Officer, you will lead our Enterprise Risk Management team to provide independent oversight and strategic risk insights that shape decision-making across the organisation. You’ll design, oversee embedment and govern enterprise-wide risk frameworks, deliver independent second line risk review and challenge of business risk management, and undertake and report on independent risk assessments to the Executive and Board, helping drive Hollard’s strategic goals. The Role at a Glance Lead Enterprise Risk Management- Develop and execute a comprehensive ERM strategy aligned with Hollard’s strategic objectives, embedding a strong risk culture across the organisation Provide Strategic Risk Insights- Advise the Board, Executive Leadership, and senior management on emerging risks, risk profile assessments, and mitigation strategies. Drive Risk Frameworks & Governance- Oversee and continuously enhance the Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Statement and related policies to ensure compliance with APRA standards and industry best practice Proactively embrace new methodologies and tools to innovate, build and improve fit for purpose risk management frameworks, operating models and technology. Influence Business Decisions- Provide independent risk assessment and challenge during major initiatives, product launches, and strategic projects to support informed, risk-aware decision-making Engage and Collaborate with Stakeholders- Build strong relationships across business units, functional teams, and committees to embed risk management practices and support risk-informed decisions Lead and Develop the ERM Team- Inspire and mentor a high-performing team of risk professionals, fostering excellence, career growth, and succession planning while managing resources efficiently Your Profile Extensive risk management experience in financial services, preferably general insurance Experienced risk leader with a track record at executive level Demonstrated experience in enterprise-wide risk domains, including financial risk, operational risk and resilience, information technology and cyber risk, etc. Proven ability to lead change in traditional environments APRA prudential standards knowledge and regulatory relationship skills Patience and persistence to drive transformation in an established organisation Track record of building and developing risk teams Track record of effective engagement with senior stakeholder and regulators Extensive experience built on a foundation of tertiary academic qualifications in a directly relevant discipline Working at Hollard At Hollard, you’ll discover an environment where you can truly make an impact.
