Executive Director, Corporate Services, Queensland Family and Child Commission The Queensland Family and Child Commission (the Commission) is seeking an exceptional senior executive to join its leadership team as Executive Director, Corporate Services, playing a pivotal role driving cultural change, embedding a resilient performance culture and ensuring corporate services are fit-for-purpose, values-driven and strategically aligned. The Commission is a statutory body committed to promoting the safety, wellbeing and rights of children and young people across Queensland (QLD). Guided by values of collaboration, respect, inclusion and excellence, the Commission works to influence systemic reform, strengthen families and communities and amplify the voices of children and young people. Its work spans across strategic oversight, regulatory obligations and partnerships with government, community and industry to deliver meaningful change for Queensland's children and young people. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Executive Director, Corporate Services will lead a division of 26 staff, with direct oversight of a $6.3 million budget and indirect oversight of an organisational budget of $23.5 million. You will oversee finance, human resources, governance, information technology and the Queensland Child Death Register. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, fit-for-purpose corporate services that build the Commission's capacity, capability and integrity. Central to this role is driving cultural change to embed a strong and resilient performance culture, supported by robust systems, processes and governance. You will foster a values-driven, supportive work environment that promotes staff wellbeing, builds organisational capability and strengthens the Commission's ability to deliver on its statutory responsibilities. Key accountabilities Financial - Provide strategic leadership of corporate financial resources, ensuring strong fiscal management and oversight of divisional and organisational budgets. Stakeholder and Outcomes - Lead fit-for-purpose, people-centric corporate services, building capability, stability and cultural awareness across the Commission. Internal Business - Set organisational objectives, policies and performance standards, ensuring governance, risk management and operational delivery. Learning and Growth - Drive business transformation and cultural initiatives that enhance capability, performance and technology utilisation. What we're looking for We are seeking an accomplished senior executive with proven success leading corporate portfolios in complex public sector or statutory environments. You will bring exceptional judgement, strategic acumen and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, navigate sensitive issues and lead high-performing teams.
