About the Role Reporting to the Global Investment Commissioner, the Director, Investment will lead a high-performing team within the Global Investment Attraction (GIA) division. This critical role is pivotal in driving TIQ’s international investment pipeline across priority sectors such as energy, resources, agriculture, manufacturing, innovation, and head office attraction—from concept to conversion. You will lead and coordinate end-to-end investment facilitation, support key relationships with global investors and stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with the Queensland Trade and Investment Strategy 2022–2032. You’ll also oversee project governance, risk, and performance against KPIs—ensuring all activities contribute meaningfully to job creation and economic growth. Your key responsibilities will include : Leading, mentoring and developing the investment team to meet strategic targets and KPIs Managing a portfolio of investment projects through to successful outcomes Coordinating with TIQ’s international offices and domestic stakeholders to align market insights and new opportunity development Overseeing budget, governance, and risk management within the investment function Representing TIQ with credibility in intergovernmental forums, industry roundtables, and high-level ministerial briefings About You You are a commercially astute, globally minded leader with a passion for delivering public value and shaping Queensland’s future. With proven experience in international investment attraction, project facilitation, and stakeholder engagement, you thrive in fast-paced environments and bring both strategic vision and hands-on execution capability. You are a credible leader with presence, gravitas, and the ability to influence at the C-suite and across government.
