Job description: Your Opportunity As a Quality & Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and maintaining our quality and safety management system in accordance with regulatory authorities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving our quality and safety processes. Your expertise will help us ensure that our operations meet or exceed all applicable regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Your Responsibilities Manage and maintain all Quality Management Systems (QMS) at the site level to ensure alignment with company and regulatory standards. Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Aviation Safety Systems across the location. Ensure compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, systems, and legislative obligations. Maintain and monitor calibrated tooling to meet quality and operational standards. Lead and conduct investigations into quality, safety, and WHS incidents, occurrences, and near-misses. Support compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including CASA, EASA, and FAA standards. Develop and manage the annual audit plan for quality and safety compliance. Conduct internal and external audits, document findings, and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the point of contact with regulatory authorities regarding certifications, audits, and compliance matters. Deliver and support training programs, briefings, and updates to ensure staff remain informed on quality and safety standards and procedures. Ensure regulatory audits and approvals are completed in accordance with the scheduled audit plan. Perform audits on products, processes, suppliers, and management systems to assess compliance and performance. Oversee supplier quality by managing the approved supplier list and conducting regular supplier audits. Ensure ongoing compliance with company manuals, procedures, and aviation regulatory requirements. Monitor and coordinate the timely renewal of all regulatory and business approvals. Investigate maintenance-related incidents and prepare detailed occurrence reports with findings and recommendations. Capture and track safety hazards and occurrences using the company's reporting system (JetSafe), ensuring effective follow-up and resolution. Recommend and drive the implementation of preventative measures and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor and assess safety communications from regulatory authorities, including Safety Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives. What will help you to succeed? Minimum 5 years' experience in Aviation industry as an AME, Licensed Engineer or Aviation Degree qualified. Knowledge and experience with CASA, EASA and other NAA regulations (Specifically CASA part 145) Trained and experienced Quality Auditor. Knowledge of Safety and Risk Management systems and policies. Knowledge of OH&S and Environment requirements. (OHS qualified) Trained in Safety Investigations Experience in a Customer Focused Work environment Effective communication including excellent written and verbal skills Computer literacy in Microsoft Suite & Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
