Casual Parking Officer position with flexible work roster. Your new company A Sydney based Council, 2135 is looking for an experienced Parking Officer to join their team on a casual, ongoing basis. The roster will have some flexibility and the successful applicant can expect to be offered three shifts per week or 5 days per fortnight, depending on availability. Your new role As a Parking Enforcement Officer, reporting to the Team Leader, you will work in pairs and patrol the prime surrounds of the LGA. You will provide information to our customers and generally build positive relations with our community. You will be responsible for enforcing a variety of laws relating to: time-limited parking in business centres Stopping and parking contrary to notices on-street parking restrictions in residential parking scheme areas Parking and traffic arrangements for special events School safety as well as accurately recording and gathering information for detected offences. Please note, employment in this position is subject to a Police Check for criminal history. What you'll need to succeed A minimum of 12 months' recent experience in a Parking Officer or Ranger role is essential. A working knowledge of current legislation Proficiency in using PDA machines (or similar) Excellent communication skills with a high level of conflict resolution and problem solving skills and demonstrated experience in quality customer service with an understanding of community needs and expectations. Proven ability to understand and carry out tasks with minimum supervision, use initiatives and team inputs while working in a multidisciplinary team environment A current Class C Driving Licence COVID-19 double vaccination What you'll get in return You will get ongoing work on a casual basis and will be paid well above the minimum award rate. The roster will be created around your availability so you will have a degree of control over when you work. However, you must be able to commit to three shifts a week or, alternatively, 5 days per fortnight with additional work allocated based on performance and availability.
