This is a permanent full-time role, ideal for someone with a hands-on trade background in fabrication or welding who’s looking to step into a professional estimating position. You’ll be working across a wide range of projects – from light fabrication and structural steelwork to mining and industrial maintenance. What You'll Be Doing Scope, prepare, and submit quotes and tenders for metal fabrication and maintenance projects Use BM Welding & Maintenance PL’s systems to track opportunities, estimates, and sales orders Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and lead times Work closely with internal teams to hand over successful tenders and ensure project readiness Maintain strong communication with clients, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with expectations Assist with procurement, scheduling, and basic project coordination tasks Interpret engineering drawings and, if required, assist with basic design/concept plans About You Proven experience in a similar estimating or project planning role Trade qualification in fabrication, welding, or related engineering fields 2 years post-trade experience (5 preferred), ideally in workshop, site, or project-based work Ability to read and interpret technical and structural drawings High-level computer skills – confident with Excel, Word, and project tools Strong written and verbal communication Experience with AutoCAD, job management or ERP systems is desirable but not essential Solution-focused mindset with good attention to detail and organisation Why Join BM Welding & Maintenance PL?
