Introduction We are seeking a talented Project and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team at HMPS Propac, Sydney. Under the supervision of the Operations and Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects and automation for HMPS Propac customers, resulting in projects being delivered to specification, on time and on budget. You will display a high level of client management and communication throughout the project. Description Your duties will include: Project Management: Managing all aspects of the project to agreed-upon requirements and ensuring all technical, quality, safety and financial targets are met Managing timeline and resources efficiently and effectively, to ensure projects are completed to specification, on time and to budget on-site presence/support for project management, coordination and commissioning until project completion Identifying, analysing and addressing project risks with regular sharing of lessons learnt Build strong rapport and ongoing relationships with the client, as well as liaising with the key stakeholders, suppliers and subcontractors Technical & Automation Expertise: Lead the commissioning of packaging machinery, both in-house FAT and at customer sites SAT. Conduct thorough FATs with customers, demonstrating machine functionality, performance, and adherence to specifications. Support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of machinery. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to machine operation, control systems, and automation during testing and commissioning phases. Utilise PLC programming skills (e.g., Rockwell, Omron) to fine-tune machine logic, resolve issues, and implement minor program modifications or enhancements during commissioning. Apply in-depth knowledge of industrial automation principles to configure, test, and optimize machine control systems.
