You’ll provide trusted, high-level advice to members of the Assets & Services team, Senior Leadership and other stakeholders across the Inner & Outer Harbours. Role Highlights As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will ensure maximum value is obtained from the ports assets by undertaking and managing electrical engineering for the development and design of new HV/LV assets, and the maintenance of existing HV/LV assets. You will maintain industry and best practice knowledge and provide technical and safety advice on matters related to the design, maintenance, and operation of electrical assets in both hazardous and non-hazardous areas. You won’t be doing this alone, you’ll join a tight-knit, supportive team who share knowledge and encouragement, working together to drive Fremantle Ports’ success. In this diverse, hands-on role, your responsibilities will include: Ensure all Fremantle Ports’ electrical assets are designed, constructed, and maintained in compliance with engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and codes of practice. Review and evaluate the results of condition inspections to ensure adequacy (fit for purpose) and safety for their intended use. Prepare technical reports, cost estimates and work schedules, specifications and the technical component of tender documents. Manage engineering consultants engaged for studies, designs, and investigations of electrical asset projects. Manage projects and assets through full lifecycle. Support and collaborate with maintenance teams to provide technical expertise for the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. What Makes You a Great Fit Your detailed knowledge of statutory requirements, regulations and national standards, backed with industry experience enable you to provide fit for purpose solutions in a complex brownfields environment. You will also possess strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to drive best practice solutions. You’ll also bring: A degree in electrical engineering, and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the design and asset management of electrical assets.
