The key objective of this position is to support clients of Child Safety Service Centres where ongoing intervention with a family is required, to assist clients to exit the child protection system and prevent families from re-entering the system. This position also respects and reflects the Society’s mission. This position requires staff to work in compliance with the Human Services Quality Framework and the Child Protection Act 1999. Staff are also required to adhere to the Society’s Child Protection Framework at all times. This is a Permanent, Full-Time Position (38 hours per week) role based in Maryborough . Skills And Experiences To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria: Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or Behavioral Science A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience in similar programs The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Blue Card or are willing to apply for one Proficient in MS Office programs Experience in working with at-risk children, young people, and families, who are subject to child protection statutory interventions Effective knowledge of Intensive Family Preservation and Intensive Family Reunification models of practice Ability in working within boundaries and well-developed task management skills Demonstrates a high degree of motivation, initiative, and creativity Contribute positively within a team environment Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society Ready to apply?
