The role An fixed-term position working full-time within our Rivercrest Primary & Hillcrest campuses is now available for an experienced Teacher. The role is for 2026 and commences on 21st January, 2026. The successful candidate will: Student Support and Inclusion Design, deliver, and evaluate individualised education programs (IEPs) that cater for students with diverse learning needs, including disabilities, learning difficulties, and exceptional abilities. Provide targeted interventions, adjustments, and accommodations to ensure equitable access to learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers to embed inclusive practices across the curriculum. Work closely with families, therapists, and external agencies to support holistic student development. Pastoral Care Build positive, supportive relationships with students, recognising and responding to their individual needs. Promote student well-being, resilience, and social-emotional development in line with Christian values. Model and encourage restorative approaches to behaviour management in partnership with families. Curriculum Development and Delivery Adapt and modify curriculum materials to align with Victorian Curriculum / International Baccalaureate frameworks and meet diverse learning needs. Integrate digital tools and assistive technologies to support student engagement and independence. Incorporate Biblical principles and Christian perspectives into teaching and learning. Administration and Compliance Maintain accurate, confidential records of student progress, IEPs, and NCCD data. Provide timely communication and reporting to parents, caregivers, and leadership. Ensure compliance with school policies, legislative requirements, and child safety standards. Community Engagement and Advocacy Advocate for students with additional needs within the school and wider community. Foster collaborative partnerships with parents, caregivers, and allied health professionals. Actively participate in school events, excursions, and activities that strengthen school community. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor of Education (Special Education) or equivalent qualification. Current VIT registration (or eligibility). Demonstrated experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in inclusive settings. Strong knowledge of IEP development, NCCD requirements, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
