About the Position Girton Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic Music Instructor to provide specialised piano music instruction to students. This is a full-time, fixed-term leave replacement position starting in January 2026 and finishing in April 2026. This position is required during term times only. The successful candidate will facilitate student learning, support co-curricular ensemble activities, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the vibrant musical culture of the school. Key Selection Criteria / Essential Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated proficiency in playing and teaching the piano. Prior experience teaching instrumental music to students of varying ages and skill levels. Working with Children Check (Employee). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students. Knowledge of music theory, sight-reading, and ensemble techniques. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture. Organisational and time management skills to effectively plan, A passion for music education and a dedication to nurturing the musical talents of young musicians.
