ABOUT CERES & The role CERES’ work spans environmental, social, economic, spiritual and cultural dimensions. We are an environmental education centre, a park, an urban farm and social enterprise hub spread across four inner North locations. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team. You will be the conduit through which all CERES financial activity flows. Together with your ‘pocket rocket’ finance team, you will have visibility to all diverse, interesting, specialised functions and have a real opportunity to make an impact. You’ll make an impact by • Partnering with the CEO, Board and Executive to shape organisational strategy • Leading CERES’ financial strategy, sustainability and governance • Overseeing finance operations, reporting, and compliance, including managing stakeholder relationships with auditors, funders, regulators and our Board. • Contributing as a key member of the Executive Team, providing strategic insight, risk management and operational leadership. • Leading and mentoring a high-performing Finance Team, building capability and embedding a culture of collaboration and service. different priorities and tasks – keeping them all up in the air. • You are a born storyteller with numbers – you use data to tell efficient stories about what is going on in the business. • You are aligned with CERES’ vision – be that CFO who helps people to fall in love with the Earth again. Does this sound like you? You have significant finance and operations leadership experience, ideally in a not-for-profit, social enterprise or complex multi-entity organisation. You have a collaborative leadership style, with the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders. You possess strong interpersonal communication skills and take a proactive approach to problem-solving. You can juggle a bunch of different priorities and tasks – keeping them all up in the air.
