Visual Merchandise Design & Operations Manager (Part-Time) 3 days per week | Based in Malvern The Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced, creative, and passionate Visual Merchandise Design & Operations professional to join a premium Australian fashion retailer. Reporting to the General Manager – Womenswear, this role is responsible for setting the visual merchandising direction and delivering creative execution across retail stores and concession locations. You’ll ensure all visual outputs align seamlessly with seasonal strategies and brand vision. This part-time position is based at the Support Office in Malvern, working Monday plus two additional days per week. Key Responsibilities: Establish and deliver the visual merchandising direction that reflects seasonal product ranges, key trends, and creative direction Design innovative window concepts in line with marketing and product campaigns Develop and oversee all creative and promotional print collateral Communicate VM direction and window installation details through clear briefs and documentation Lead VM execution for new store openings and train retail teams on standards and expectations Support and mentor VM and retail team members to achieve strong visual outcomes Partner with marketing to ensure promotions and visual directives maximise sales impact Plan floor layouts and product flow to drive commercial performance Elevate flagship store presentation and identify opportunities for visual innovation Conduct regular store visits to ensure standards are consistently achieved Source props and manage external suppliers to bring concepts to life Manage budgets and timelines, ensuring creative materials are produced and delivered on schedule Maintain clear and timely communication with VM and retail teams to guarantee execution excellence Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to uplift visual presentation across all stores Contribute to seasonal conferences through planning, coordination, and presentations What We’re Looking For: Previous experience in a similar VM leadership role within the retail sector Tertiary qualifications in design or related fields (preferred, not essential) Flexibility to travel nationally to store locations as required Strong technical skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office Excellent attention to detail paired with strong commercial awareness Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills Highly organised with strong time management and prioritisation abilities Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset Current driver’s licence and access to a vehicle What’s On Offer: Competitive remuneration package Free onsite parking at the Support Office Generous clothing allowance and staff discount across all brands Tailored induction program to set you up for success Career development within a trusted and established Australian fashion group A supportive, friendly team culture where achievements are recognised Invitations to conferences, social events, and annual award celebrations Culture & Opportunity This fashion group is proudly Australian-owned and has built its reputation on quality, timeless design, and sustainable practices.
