We are currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer to work on Pacific Projects who has exceptional analytical and strategic skills to join our Honeywell Building Automation team to be based either in Sydney or Melbourne office. This role will be responsible for driving day-to-day operations for the Projects business in conjunction with the GM. This includes all areas of operational delivery, service projects, transformation and business improvement, digitization, and productivity initiatives. You will be a key leader partnering with the other functions, including sales, offering management, engineering, systems/process/data, and IT. You will be expected to develop and deploy talent, drive global process standards, deliver on annual operating plan productivity commitments, maintaining a world class safety performance culture. Key Responsibilities: Leadership to Projects organization, including overall project management reviews, productivity, EAC reviews Work primary on business interface reporting, dashboards, scorecard. Ad-hoc reporting needs (Utilization, Billability etc) Ensure new operations tools and capabilities are developed and deployed consistently in all locations where we operate Support on the construction of an annual business plan to meet or exceed annual revenue and operating income targets · Build and develop a talented, engaged and high-performing team, that is held accountable appropriately, with clearly defined objectives Lead talent Management Resource Review (MRR) process, performance management processes, and Service talent development/recruitment Lead the headcount Capacity Planning Tool/ Support, to ensure we have the right amount of people, with the right skills, in the right places to deliver for our customers and achieve our growth plans Key Experience & Capabilities: Technical or bachelor’s degree in business, Technology or other related field would be advantageous Experience working in a multi-national, matrixed organization be able to work in all functions, such as Supply Chain, Commercial, Safety, Management Marketing and etc Resilient with commercial acumen Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to travel across Australia and New Zealand 10 Years’ Project Management, Engineering or Business Leadership experience with 5 Years’ General Management or Operational Leadership Experience Strong financial budgeting, forecasting & control experience will be essential to delivering a successful P&L Previous experience in, and a demonstrated track record of delivering large scale and highly visible projects is essential A proven track record of delivery and success in the areas of problem solving and process change/ improvement Strong understanding of operations and its metrics, besides good knowledge on projects processes, systems and tools.
