The Opportunity This position will see you support the Finance Manager and CFO in the managing and coordinating the day-to-day Finance and Accounting functions, leading a team of specialised accountants. This leadership role is responsible for taking ownership of the financial accounting function to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with relevant accounting standards, and adherance to statutory and regulatory requirements. Key focus areas include: Financial Reporting & Compliance : Lead monthly and statutory reporting, ensure ATO lodgements, oversee revenue recognition and strengthen financial controls and policies. Internal Recovery & Asset Management : Manage internal recovery processes, Capex lifecycle, and fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy, compliance and process improvement. Leadership & Team Development : Inspire and develop a high-performing finance team, promote accountability and growth, and collaborate on recruitment and people initiatives. Collaboration & Culture : Foster a supportive, transparent team environment, encourage innovation and drive continuous improvement across finance operations. Skills And Experiences About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Minimum 7 years' experience in financial accounting, audit or commercial environment Tertiary qualifications in accounting i.e Bachelor of Commerce CA or CPA Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships Demonstrated experience managing ATO compliance Proven experience managing internal cost recovery processes and cross-charging methodologies Exposure to project-based revenue recognition and contract accounting environments Be rewarded at CPP At CPP, we value our people above all else.
