The Internal Integrity Unit (Investigations) is responsible for the following functions: Co-ordinating the handling of disclosures relating to the NDIS Commission in accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2013 Making referrals to, and managing referrals from, the National Anti-Corruption Commission Investigating and overseeing complaints made about the NDIS Commission's staff and processes Undertaking preliminary assessments of workplace misconduct matters and conducting misconduct investigations on behalf of People Services, the Commissioner or other members of the Executive Leadership Team Providing information to the Commonwealth Ombudsman concerning Public Interest Disclosures and requests for information under s7a and s8 of the Ombudsman Act 1976 Managing and providing advice on conflict-of-interest disclosures made by NDIS Commission Staff Providing education to staff of the NDIS Commission on integrity related matters. The key duties of the position include Key duties The Integrity Officer (Complaints) will be responsible for dealing with referrals to the Internal Integrity Unit from internal and external stakeholders about concerns regarding the NDIS Commission and staff; working closely with the Director and Assistant Directors to ensure quality work is delivered within relevant time frames. In this role you will: Manage complaints received from providers, participants and members of the public about NDIS Commission employees and its processes Manage highly sensitive or confidential material, including a case load of complaints Work collaboratively with staff of the NDIS Commission Liaise with other government agencies, share information, produce investigation reports including recommendations Engage across the full range of the NDIS Commission's functions, identifying and fostering opportunities to deploy cross-functional strategies to address integrity related issues Prepare complex and/or sensitive correspondence and corporate documentation, including reports, briefings, and recommendations Contribute to and participate in education campaigns to inform and educate Commission employees Assist the Director and Assistant Directors of the Internal Integrity Unit with other duties as required
