Job Description In this minimum 6 month term, based in Melbourne you will be responsible for assessing and treating presentations to the emergency department under supervision from senior doctors. You will be part of the Emergency Department team and report to the Clinical Director, the Directors of EM training and the medical team leader on shift. You will make an impact by: Independently assessing and managing multiple patients under supervision of seniors Independently prioritising a set of decisions/tasks/referrals for multiple patients To be successful in this role… Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with patients and Colleagues Ability to lead by being a positive role model to junior staff Able to direct immediate and future learning, informed with reflective practice and role model influences. Ability to take responsibility for self-directed learning and participating in departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills. Actively teach junior staff the clinical skills expected of a novice clinician.
