TEN Recruitment is partnering with a highly respected engineering consultancy to appoint a Lead Processing Engineer . In the role of Lead Processing Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing process design and optimisation on major resources and energy projects. You will mentor a team of 8 process engineers, ensuring high-quality outcomes from concept design through to commissioning and operations . This position provides exposure to a wide variety of technically challenging work in both traditional and emerging energy markets. Key Responsibilities Deliver and optimise process designs for resource extraction and treatment facilities Perform process simulations, material and energy balances, and equipment sizing Develop and review process documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, and control narratives Lead HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety reviews Contribute to feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering deliverables Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain strong client relationships Mentor, guide, and manage a team of process engineers What You’ll Bring Degree in Chemical, Process, or related Engineering discipline 10 years’ experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy industry (consultancy / EPC background highly regarded) Strong capability with process simulation software (e.g. HYSYS, Aspen Plus) Excellent knowledge of industry codes, standards, and safety requirements Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead technical teams High-level communication and client-facing skills What’s On Offer $180K–$200K Super (based on experience) Long-term, permanent position with a highly regarded consultancy Work on a diverse portfolio of mining, energy, and oil & gas projects Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid options Supportive leadership, clear career pathways, and professional development opportunities About Us The Technical & Engineering Network (TEN) is an independently owned Western Australian recruitment business.
