We are seeking a Simulation Clinics Dental Assistant to work closely with professional and academic staff as well as students in the simulation clinic environment. As a Simulation Clinical Dental Assistant you must be available to work at Camperdown Bligh Building and Sydney Dental Hospital as well as any other University campuses as required. Your key responsibilities will be to: provide support and assistance to staff and students using the simulation/laboratory unit maintain the simulation/laboratory workplace under the guidance of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Co-ordinator so that the learning and teaching requirements of the work area are met provide excellent customer service and helps to build positive relationships with internal and external users of the clinical skills simulation clinics. consistently demonstrates professionalism and respect to all students staff and colleagues. work is carried out ensuring Work Health and Safety standard are met in the Clinical Skills simulation clinics and are aligned to the University's WH&S policy. checks role -based account on regular basis to support the smooth operation of the scheduled classes. About you have a certificate III in dental assisting plus at least two years of relevant experience desirable to have a cert IV in dental radiography intermediate computer skills, including outlook email, word, excel et technical dental knowledge and expertise sound working knowledge and acute awareness of safety regulations and operating procedures within the laboratory environment including experience in working with hazardous substances ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work, sometimes under pressure, with competing priorities and sometimes limited supervision. flexibility to work in our spaces to support dental courses as part Sydney Health Executive teams.
