Our Southwest Campus team are currently looking for a part time (3days/week) Discipleship Support to join the team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of national discipleship pathways, developing and empowering leaders, and ensuring the overall health of connect groups, communities, and volunteer teams at your campus. With a strong focus on pastoral care, leadership development, and strategic execution, this role fosters a vibrant and spiritually growing church environment where individuals are discipled, connected, and equipped to serve. Other aspects of this role include: Discipleship & Strategy Implement and facilitate national discipleship pathways at the campus level to strengthen engagement and spiritual health. Collaborate with the campus team to develop and deliver campus-specific discipleship strategies aligned with the national framework. Design and deliver workshops and training for emerging leaders. Oversee the effective delivery of mid-week discipleship courses, building and empowering teams to run and support them. Oversee the campus wedding and funeral processes, including work with Prepare & Enrich couples and officiating. Support faith milestones (e.g., baby dedications, baptisms, marriage preparation) by connecting individuals to next steps. Connect Groups & Communities Lead Connect Groups, recruiting and developing leaders and building a sustainable leadership structure. Oversee community groups that cater to social, cultural, and demographic needs, aligning with the national discipleship strategy. Establish systems to resource, communicate with, and track group activity and health. Promote a unified and healthy culture by aligning all groups with the church's vision and calendar. Organise regular gatherings to equip, encourage, and connect leaders. Ensure effective group assimilation through the discipleship pathways team. Volunteers Oversee Service Leadership Teams, identifying needs, recruiting, training, and inspiring volunteers. Build a volunteer leadership pipeline that fosters growth, belonging, and spiritual development. Organise regular volunteer training sessions and implement feedback systems to support ongoing development. Administration & Reporting Ensure PCO records for ministry areas are current in collaboration with staff and key teams. Develop and maintain workflows for the discipleship pathways team. Submit weekly summary reports and a monthly discipleship report to the Campus Pastor. Collaborate with partnership organisations. Ideally, the successful candidate will bring: A formal qualification in Theology, Ministry, or a related field (Diploma level or higher). Experience in planning and facilitating workshops, courses, and large-scale volunteer gatherings. Knowledge of modern discipleship models and experience applying them in a local church context. Demonstrated experience in pastoral ministry, with the ability to disciple others, lead teams, and provide spiritual care and oversight.
